What is Veganuary?
Veganuary is a yearly challenge which encourages people to take up a vegan diet and lifestyle for the month of January. The concept was made popular by the aptly named non-profit organisation ‘Veganuary’, who have seen millions of people take part in the scheme since starting their mission in 2014. In 2025 alone, they report more than 1,480 new vegan products being added to our shelves! Their main aims are to increase participation, inspire corporate change, and grow the global movement.
A vegan diet must not include any animal-derived products (meat, poultry and fish), or any by-products of animals (such as dairy products or eggs). Some participants of Veganuary also choose to avoid non-food items that are made with animal products, such as leather, or certain beauty products. What can my business do to play its part in Veganuary?
Rather than just gifting participants, an even better idea would be to challenge the entire team to join Veganuary!
